Serving Chilled vs Warm Beer

Why is warm beer so bad?
Picture this: you’re handed a warm beer. You take one sip, and your face scrunches up like you’ve just bitten into a lemon. Why does warm beer feel like betrayal in a glass?

Well, here’s the science: as beer warms up, oxidation increases, giving it that stale, “what even is this?” taste. On top of that, the carbonation starts to fade, leaving your brew flatter than a joke that doesn’t land. Lager, in particular, should be served colder than other beers, ideally between 3-7°C.

But don’t go too far in the other direction! While ice-cold beer is refreshing on a hot day, it can also mute the flavour profile. So, to fully enjoy our Hard Ace lager, keep it chill—but not too chill. 3-7°C is the sweet spot.
